Rodney Duane Schaefer

Rodney Schaefer, age 51 of Rose Creek, God Welcomed Rod into his arms in Heaven on April 19, 2022.

He was born in Austin, April 12th 1971, To Duane Schaefer & Janice (Severson) Schaefer. Raised in Rose Creek with his siblings and graduated from Southland High School 1989. He loved working outdoors as well as being an avid outdoorsman like hunting, fishing, trapping, canoeing. He was a kind, compassionate, well-loved man by everyone. Loved spending time at Lake of the Woods with his loved ones or down at the Family land. If you knew Rodney you had a friend in him. 

Survivors include Lindsey Schaefer West Palm Beach Fl daughter; Jayden Vielhauer-Schaefer Austin, MN son; Janice (Severson) Schaefer mother; Duane Schaefer father; Bonnie Schaefer Rochester MN sister; Margaret (Jon) Srsen Blooming Prairie MN sister; Dean Schaefer Waltham MN brother; Gail (Lenny) Kiefer Rose Creek, MN sister; Jeff (Nancy) Schaefer Mason City IA brother; Liz Schaefer Austin MN sister. Nephews & Nieces, Dylan, Nick, Amelia Srsen, Travis (Anna) & Taylor, Pearl Kiefer, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Logan, Karsin Schaefer. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

He was joined in Heaven by his Maternal Grandparents Alfred & Elizabeth Severson, Paternal Grandparents Matt & Mary Schaefer and Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Mayer Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service at Mayer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred.
