Patricia Poshusta

Patricia Mary Ann Poshusta, age 86, of Austin, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Care Center. Patricia was born July 29, 1928 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, the oldest daughter of Adeline and Louis Proulx. The family later moved to Austin, Minnesota. She graduated from Austin High School and Austin Junior College. On April 15, 1950 she married Robert Vernon Poshusta at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1998. Patricia loved traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and pets: Bobo and Toots. She enjoyed being with people and after raising nine children, she went to work at the Fantles store in Austin. Survivors include nine children, Richard “Dick” (Leanne), Austin, MN, Gary, Bremerton, WA, Jane (Rick) Vanderbosch, Rochester, MN, Paul (Sharrol), Ellensburg, WA, Susan, Austin, MN, Craig (Joyce), Austin, MN, John (Teri Benton), Bremerton, WA, Nancy (Lance Thomas), Austin, MN, Karen (David Markey), Fairhaven, MA; 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Proulx Hanson (Byron), Eden Prairie, MN. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, and great grandson, Tyler Poshusta. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. There will be a 6:30 pm wake service on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4-7 pm and also one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
