Nancy Krueger

Nancy Joan Krueger, age 72, of Austin, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Nancy was born February 19, 1941 in Austin to Laurence and Edna (Johnson) Gaskill. She grew up in Austin where she graduated from high school. Nancy was united in marriage to John George. They were blessed with four children, Kristina, William, Amy, and Melissa. The couple later divorced. Nancy then married Kenneth Krueger. The couple lived in Austin and traveled with the Merriams Midway Show for several years. Nancy also worked in healthcare. After 25 years of marriage, Kenneth passed away. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and friends from the Merriams Midway Show. Survivors include her daughters, Kristina (Raul) Alvarez-Babastro, Austin, MN, Kathy (Bruce) Carlson, Ogden, IA, Melissa George (Bob), Austin, MN, Pamela DuBois (Brian), Austin, MN; sons, William George, Austin, MN, Pat (Dede) George, Albert Lea, MN; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Wendy Gaskill (Sheila), Minneapolis, MN, Terry (George) Thompson, Rochester, MN, Susie (Jim) Schmitz, Adams, MN, Sally (Terry) Bue, Detroit Lakes, MN, Sarah Gaskill (Domenica), Minneapolis, MN; brother, Joe (Pam) Gaskill, Susanville, CA; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenny; daughter, Amy Lou George. A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Mayer Funeral Home with Dale Merriam officiating. Friends may call one hour before the celebration at Mayer Funeral Home on Tuesday. The celebration will continue at the Mapleview Community Center. Memorials are preferred to Nancy's family.
