Eva Norman

Funeral services for Eva L. Norman will be held Wednesday January 4th at 11:00 AM at Crane Community Chapel in Austin. The Rev. Dale Christiansen will officiate. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. The visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Mayer Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Eva LaRene Bonsall Norman, age 90, died peacefully at her son, Bryce's home late afternoon December 29, 2016. Eva was born May 6, 1926 near Cherokee, Iowa, the only child to Bessie Miles & Theodore Bonsall. She attended schools in Larrabee and Cherokee, Iowa. Eva's mother died when she was 16, when she went to live with her Uncle K.O. and Myrtle until she graduated high school in May 1943. In February 1944, she moved to Austin, Minnesota and on August 3, 1946 Eva married Alvin (Bud) Leroy Norman. From this union were born 2 sons, Bryce Allen and Lynn Leroy. Eva worked 21 years as a clerk for the MN Drivers License Bureau, retiring in 1984. Eva's favorite activities were socializing with league bowling and knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching items for the family. Eva is preceded in death by both her parents Bessie Miles Bonsall of Cherokee, Iowa, Theodore Bonsall of Bandon, Oregon, and her husband Alvin. Her survivors include her sons, Bryce (Carolyn) of New Richland, MN, Lynn of Buffalo, NY. Grandchildren Eric (Amy) Norman of Madison Lake, MN, Renee (Jon) Stoltz of Waseca, MN, and Justin (Kristen) Norman of Grand Rapids, MI. Great grandchild Maxine Stoltz.
